Week 22: Lino Attempt

This week I attempted some lino, but unfortunately ran in to some problems while printing. I haven’t done lino in about 2 years, and I’ve never printed it by hand, so I’m definitely pretty rusty. The image is based on a photo I took in Sausalito, California a few months ago.

I’m pretty happy with how the lino plate itself turned out, but I need to do some more research to figure out what went wrong with the printing. I have a feeling that I’m using the wrong paper, but I also don’t think I warmed up the ink enough before I rolled it out. I will definitely be trying to print this plate again in the future, but for this week this is what I was able to do!
